Vélez-Málaga

It is the second small temple of the city which is linked to the “Crosses”.
A small votive shrine dedicated to the Cross which commemorates King Ferdinand’s entrance into the city on May 3rd, 1487.
It is a brick shrine containing a simple wooden cross and has semicircular arches on both sides. The ceilings of different levels and the Angels’ paintings in the dome are of particular interest.
