Virgen de la Piedad Vestuary

Vélez-Málaga

Piety and popular religious beliefs in Velez has turned every corner of the city into Chapels, Altars on façades or small Temples.
Easter week is represented by its side-chapels, like this small temple where the religious figures of the Virgin and the Nazarene are kept.
It was built in the VII Century and it was refurbished in 1778. It was erected with a clear scenic intention to visually dominate the streets that led to the Constitution Square and to remind the walker about the fact that the world and their lives can only be understood from a religious perspective.

Location: Calle Las Tiendas (Las Tiendas Street).
Opening Hours: It can be viewed from the street
