Caleta de Vélez
Caleta de Vélez se sitúa sobre la N-340, en dirección hacia Almería desde Torre del Mar, entre las desembocaduras de los ríos Seco y Algarrobo.
In ancient times, this populated area was known as the Pago de Travamar. Its fishing origin has been strengthened by its marina and fishing port which has turned this area of the municipality into a prosperous tourist centre.
The marina which is located inside the port site has 200 berths for 8 to 20 metre boats. It is due to be extended shortly which will turn the marina into one of most important ones on the Costa del Sol.
