Almayate is located between Torre del Mar and Benajarafe just a few metres from the coast and the N-340 National Road.

30 kms east of Malaga on the A-7 motorway or the N-340 that runs parallel to the coastline.
Together with Mezquitilla is located outside the geographical group of Velez Malaga between Algarrobo and Torrox municipalities.
